OAGS Agriculture Centre of Excellence
The OAGS Agricultural Centre of Excellence (ACE) has been developed collaboratively by Headmaster Rev Louis Stringer and newly appointed Agriculture Teacher and ACE Co-ordinator Mrs Sarah Eyb.
The unique ACE project at OAGS is a Prep to Year 12 program embedding National Curriculum outcomes utilising the ACE facility to implement cross curricular learning and skill development.
Working with the talented teachers of OAGS, Mrs Eyb will support them to custom fit learning activities using the ACE centre resources. While plant, insect and livestock production will form a large part of the teaching at ACE, students will link the learning outcomes to sustainable food and fibre production, responsible care of the ecosystem in which we live and stewardship of resources.
Utilising extensive community and industry links will be a core component of the program, exposing OAGS students to some of the best talent in the Agricultural sector.
Mrs Eyb comes to OAGS with a vast array of experience, industry contacts, and aspirations for all things agriculture. Basing her teaching practices on a combination of hands-on experiences, industry immersion and a sound understanding of the holistic nature of agriculture and the environment, Sarah has a passion for developing an understanding of Agricultural Science in young people.

Introducing Mrs Sarah Eyb - Agriculture Teacher & ACE Program Coordinator
Sarah Eyb is delighted to be joining the enthusiastic and innovative team of educators at OAGS as Agriculture teacher and coordinator of the exciting new Agricultural Centre of Excellence (Project ACE). Growing up in the Orange region, and being introduced to farming by members of the OAGS family as a child, Sarah developed a love of Agriculture, especially livestock health and production. Completing a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture (Hons) at Sydney University, Sarah went on to work in a range of jobs including working for the Department of Primary Industry, The Land Newspaper and Bega Cheese developing a broad range of industry skills. After starting a family, Sarah decided to undertake a Diploma of Education and has since worked at a number of schools managing very successful show teams and gaining some of the consecutive highest marks in country NSW for Agriculture and Primary Industries over an 18 year period. Sarah is a strong advocate for Vocational Education and Training and has worked extensively in School Based Apprenticeship Programs and in delivery of VET in schools. She has worked for eight years as a specialist teacher in Aboriginal Pathways and continues to provide support for NESA as a Teacher Training Facilitator in Vocational Education. Sarah has judged Primary Industries National World Skills in addition to taking a role as NSW World Skills team leader.

Sarah has been very involved in the equestrian scene, and is currently the NSW Pony Club dressage delegate, Zone Chief Instructor and Cudal Pony Club Chief Instructor. In 2018, Sarah accompanied the Australian senior team as tour Coach to China to compete in an International Mounted Games and Showjumping tournament. In 2019, Sarah was named by Pony Club Australia as one of the top 3 coaches. Long term, Sarah is very keen to develop equestrian sport within the OAGS community and an OAGS Interschool Team.
Sarah has been married to Stephen for 21 years and they have two children Miranda and Darcey who are also keen equestrians and cattle handlers. They live at Cudal and breed Shorthorn cattle and Welsh ponies.
