SCHOLARSHIPS AND BURSARIES

Application for 2025 Scholarships are now open.

Orange Anglican Grammar School has experienced significant growth both in enrolments and in outstanding academic and co-curricular achievements.  This year we will commence an extensive building project to cater for continued growth.  With new facilities and buildings comes fantastic new opportunities and programmes.

OAGS is now offering the opportunity for dedicated and outstanding students wishing to enrol in 2025 to make their mark as part of our thriving community.  The OAGS Annual Scholarship Program assists families with tuition costs for the duration of a student's enrolment.

Orange Anglican Grammar School will be offering 2025 Scholarships to students entering Secondary School (Years 7-11).

The Scholarship categories are as follows:

  • Academic

  • All Round

  • Indigenous

Academic

An Academic Scholarship is awarded to a secondary student who displays an exceptional level of academic achievement in all subject areas. We strongly encourage students who have attained high academic results in their current school to apply.

All -Round

All-Round Scholarships are awarded to a Secondary student who demonstrates all-round values in community involvement, a willingness and drive to succeed, a talent or special interest or an overall interest in others' well-being. All-Round Scholarships will not be awarded on academic ability alone, though this is a significant factor. They assume that the applicant will be willing to contribute generally to the Orange Anglican Grammar community and to the broader goals of the School.

Indigenous

The OAGS Indigenous Scholarship is open to Aboriginal and Torres Strait islander students whose family circumstances may otherwise preclude them from attending OAGS on a full fee-paying basis. Applicants for the Indigenous Scholarship must provide proof of Indigenous background, and whilst upholding their traditions and heritage, be 100% committed to providing a positive contribution to our school community. The Academic/ All-Round application criteria also applies to this scholarship.

All Scholarships are awarded on the basis of an interview and supporting documentation.

All external Scholarship applicants, regardless of the category, will be required to undertake the ACER General Ability Test administered at OAGS. To express your interest in applying for Scholarships please see the below process.

Value and tenure

All Scholarships entitle the holder to part remission of tuition fees only. These scholarships are awarded for the duration of the Scholars schooling at Orange Anglican Grammar School, but are reviewed every 12 months to evaluate the student's contribution to the school, or academic performance.

The number of Academic & All-Round Scholarships that are awarded per annum varies dependent upon applications.

The number of bursaries awarded per annum varies, dependent on applications and needs. The reasons for this are usually, but not limited to, parent unemployment or family trauma.
